An Anxious Monday afternoon

August 18th, 2008

Pool went well this morning! I wond 1 by knocking the 8 ball in. Then the cue ball and the eight ball were on my side. They scratched on the eight ball 2 games. I won3 in a row.

Meals on Wheels went well, except we ran out of milk,2 early. The milk is usually in the little milk cartons, that you got at elementary school. It was the  office’s fault, because they put down 22 count, and 24 count, at another place. We almost beat GT back, but we came in second. They don’t have many meals and they are close together.

The main course for dinner was steak fingers, with gravy. The dinner was good! We are having cookies and green beans a lot!

B made me some candy to take home! She also brought back my Bill Bates book. I had a load to carry off the bus, when I got home. Cocoa was glad to see me.

I ran an urgent errand, before walking Cocoa. Cocoa was okay. It was not him. Mother helped me out. I talked to L about it over the phone. I was surprised to catch L, on the phone! You usually get her answering machine. I did walk Cocoa about 2:30.

I went to the DQ, but B did not show up! L had told me an excellent pratical joke to pull on him! He is always pulling them on me.

I guess, it was an anxious Monday. Do you ever have them? I signed into a free single site, last night. God bless you!

Getting Ready For A Visit

August 13th, 2008

This morning, I did jobs around the apartment. I carried out the trash, and sprayed generic air spray,  I watched some TV, and checked my email. I ate a hamburger for dinner at the DQ. After dinner, I sprinkled carpet freshener, and ran the sweeper.

I had an appointment with L at 2. She was way late, but she called me, about 2:15 and told me, she was running late. I put Cocoa in his cage. It was a suggestion, by a neighbor. L arrived, and Cocoa acted like he remembered her. I let him out. We discussed somethings. Then she showed me how to record on TV1, while watching something else on TV2 on the DVR with Dish. Then she got ready to leave. She apologized for keeping me from the DQ at 3.

I went to the DQ, late. Then, I remembered, I hadn’t took my anxiety medicine. I went home Now, I have to stay up until 10, to take my night medicine. I pray each morning, that I will remember my, middle of the afternoon, anxiety medicine.

Well, I don’t know what to expect, this weekend, with the Cowboys football game! I hope it is better, than last week. Go Cowboys! After last week’s game, what do you think?

The Cowboy’s Disappointment

August 11th, 2008

A lot of disappoints in the game. The first string, and the running backs looked good. The final score was 31-17! The cowboys lost, but it was just preseason.

In pool this morning, I won 3 straight! I think next month, I’m going to order a subscription of a pool magazine. I will get tips from it. Right now, I got to remember take your time, and aim well!

The east rout went fine in Meals on Wheels. One was not home. I called the Center, and they checked on her. They got no answer. We don’t want no one to miss their meal!

I went to Mother’s this afternoon, because I had a doctor’s appointment. It was just a follow up visit. My doctor is going to take me to a Texas Tech Football Game! How about that?

I missed the DQ! I did call the DQ, while I was waiting on the doctor. I got home late, but just in time to walk Cocoa, for his last walk of the day. Does you Doctor take time to take you to a ball game?

Cocoa And His Night Wetting Problem

August 8th, 2008

Let’s don’t mention pool, today. Oh, I won just one. I was frustrated after pool! I hope I have better luck Monday.

Meals on Wheels went fine. All meals were delivered. I did the whole stacking job! I mean, I had the hot food, the cold food, the diets, and the milk. I didn’t mess up either! We also were first back. We even beat GT route for the second day in a row! Don’t tell B, I said that.

The meal was good. I had my choice of King Ranch Chicken or Fish. I chose Fish. Strawberry short cake was the desert! I sat at the usual table.

I had company at 2pm this afternoon. It was F, my best friend. We watched 2 episodes of Bonanza. We played with Cocoa, and visited, Mostly we were interested in the old episodes of Bonanza! They even included Adam!

After our 2 hour visit, we went to check the mail, and walk Cocoa. F went on home at the mailbox. I finished walking Cocoa. I have had to start walking Cocoa right before dark. He wet the bedroom floor once. B even suggested getting diapers for him, but I don’t know if you can get diapers for male dogs. I don’t know what I’m going to do this winter. I can’t get on to him. Cocoa is over 13 years old! That is awful old for chihuahuas. I’ve had him sinch he was 2 months old! What do you think I should do? Bless your Friday Evening!

Cowboys play the Chargers tomorrow night in San Diego! It will be the first preseason game for the Cowboys! Go Cowboys!

Getting Ready For Cowboy Preseason

August 7th, 2008

My odds at the pool table this morning was not too good! I won2 to 4 losses! Well maybe, I will do better in the morning.

My old girlfriend, M. hopped for us today, while W took his wife somewhere. This is just volunteer work! M was fast. We were the first to deliver our meals, and be back! We just beat GT!

I got a gift from B, from her trip to Vegas.  It was a  Vegas  tee shirt.  I told her, thank you. I don’t know when I will wear it. Nothing good comes from Vegas, in a Christian’s view. I mean the gambling and shows! Oh, I will probably wear the shirt during the 5 day week.

The meal was okay. Our main course was King Ranch Chicken. We also had fried squash. I didn’t eat my carrots. MP didn’t give me an okay, because I didn’t clean my plate.

When I got home from the Center, I checked my email. Mother had a little bumper bump. It didn’t hurt either vehicle, but made Mother nervous! We ran a quick errand.

I did make the DQ! Our group is getting littler and littler. Only 2 of us showed up.

Dallas plays this Saturday, at 9pm! I’m ready! Are You? They play San Diego, at San Diego! Have a Blessed Evening!

WashDay and Pool

August 6th, 2008

Today was washday. I had 3 loads. of washing. I took out Mother’s trash, and checked her mail. Cocoa went too.

I will turn off the computer early tonight. In the morning, I will get up early, so I can make the first bus ride to the Senior Citizen Center. That way, I have all most 2 hours of playing pool, before Meals on Wheels starts. I’m trying to find a pool magazine to fit my budget. I hope to learn new tricks of playing pool. Do you like to play pool?

Full Days

August 5th, 2008

I’m writing in the morning. Yesterday was a busy day. In pool, at the Senior Citizen Center, I won 3 out of 6. J was our driver for Monday. C was gone. It went slow and usual, except we had to backtrack one. The lady was at the doctor’s, the first time we came by.

I did go to church Sunday at Faith Baptist Church. The people are friendly. I am planning to go back this Sunday.

The dinner, yesterday was okay. It was barbecue ribs without the bones. I ate most of my lunch.

When I got off the bus, I had plenty to do. I walked Cocoa for his dinner walk. I had to get electronic bill pay set up. I had to get a copy of a check, to clear up a payment, that I had payed.  I successfuly did both things. I even made it to the DQ. There were only 2 of us that showed up. We left 10 minutes early.

This morning, I got the payment straightened out at the merchant. Mother took me to run errands, both for her and me.

This afternoon, I ride the bus, to see L. I have a full afternoon. Do you have full days, often?

A Mediocre Friday

August 1st, 2008

This was a mediocre day! I just won 1 game of pool. I can’t number how many games I played, in about 2 hours. Meals on Wheels went great. We had to check on one lady. Luckily, she was just sleeping. We had to go by her house twice. We were the third coming in, but that lady’s life was more important! Also, She got her meal.

The dinner was delicious. I had the choice of fish or roast beef. I chose roast beef. Fried Squash was also on the plate. I didn’t get to sit at my usual table. All the chairs were already taken. I couldn’t even fine an extra chair to use to make a place at my usual table.

I got to see an elderly uncle and cousin, though, at dinner. My town was his home town. He is brought to the senior citizen center to see old friends, and get out.

My bank recently started offering online bill pay. I know that they are a little slow. I spent 2 or 3 hours, trying to get started in that! Then I found out that I had to be validated, before I started! Well the man that does that had already left for the weekend. Now, I have to wait until Monday, to be validated! After that, I showed up at the DQ, after 30 minutes were over!  Is that a mediocre day or not?

Dear Hunting Mood

July 31st, 2008

This Morning was Meals on Wheels. I went early, to have plenty of time to play pool. I won 3 games. One game, I wouldn’t call a win, because he was a good player. He flat missed the 8 ball, when it was his turn to knock it in. It was an easy shot too!

The route went great. We met one man, who was interested in getting on Meals on Wheels. B told him, the number to call. He was a Senior Citizen.

Chicken strips was the main course of our dinner. It was crowded, at the table, I sat at. It was the usual table I sat at.

After the bus brought me home, I helped Mother run an errand. First, I walked Cocoa, for his after dinner walk. Then, I called to set up another bus ride, for next week.

I’m as, one of my friends say, in the dear hunting mood! All things are possible with God! I hate to hunt through the internet, because of all the tricksters! I want a good Christian woman. I will end in no question tonght.

Jesus Is Smarter Than The Devil

July 30th, 2008

I didn’t do much this morning. I ran 1 errand to get them to show me something about my cell phone. When I got back, I remebered the correct procedure.

Mother rode the bus with me to the town where C lives. She didn’t go to see C, but to get her eyes checked, while I went to see C. Mother’s appointment was later than mine. We made sure Mother got checked in, before I went to see C.

I thank God the Lord led me to C. She is smart, especially in spiritual things. She straitened me out today. I may visit a church Sunday. I just finished studying my Bible. The Title of this Post deals with what C and I discussed!

After with meeting with C, I rode the bus to pick up Mother. It wasn’t long. Then, we rode the bus to each of our homes.

Cocoa was ready to walk, when I got home. It was his third walk of the day. I checked the mail.

It was hot today, with all the running around, I had to do. I had to go to Walmart, after walking Cocoa. I needed scoctch tape, and a loaf of bread. I will be glad, when the first of August gets here
